 Darren Gauci is a four-time Melbourne Metropolitan Champion jockey. Darren's career started over 20 years ago in 1982 and apart from his base in Melbourne, Australia, Darren has also competed successfully in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and New Zealand.
Born in Melbourne on 26th December, 1965, Darren goes to scale at 52 kgs or 8 stone 2lbs and is 5ft 2" high. His first ride was on April 3rd, 1982 and eight days later he rode his first winner in the C.U.B. East Gippsland Cup at the Bairnsdale Victoria racecourse. He has ridden 1,800+ winners to date, icluding 31 Group 1 winners and 250 stakes winners.
