all of the above in English, French or Spanish !
There are 577 jockeys worldwide (85 women jockeys) on JockeysRoom.com with extensive biographies on many of them. JockeysRoom also offers over 1,000 books, videos, t-shirts, mugs, games, posters, art and gift store in association with Amazon, CafePress and AllPosters.com at the Online Shop.
Nick founded JockeysRoom.com in 2000. Tri-lingual in English, French & Spanish, he graduated in Economics & Accounting from the University of Kent. He has been deeply passionate about horse racing ever since he first saw Lester Piggott in 1975 and has worked in several different areas in racing over the last 20 years.
Nick was initially the Spain correspondent for the International Racing Bureau throughout the 1990’s. He has worked in journalism, racing photography, as a jockeys' agent, as a mentor and coach to jockeys and ridden racehorses (pictured right) in addition to promoting various areas of the sport through JockeysRoom.com .
In the early 1990’s, he was the youngest jockeys' agent at that time and he is currently the only scribe who writes on racing in English and Spanish publications. They include contributions to the Racing Post, Sporting Life, Pacemaker, Racing World video, Ireland's Equestrian, Recta Final, A Galopar, BBC World service and At The Races tv.

An international racing addict, Nick estimates he has watched circa 100,000 races to date and since 1978 has attended top meetings at 51 racecourses spread across the UK, Ireland, France, USA, Spain, Mexico and Brazil. As a writer and photographer he has covered some of the top international meetings such as the Grand National, Breeders' Cup (witnessing the great Arazi), the Epsom Derby, the Arc de Triomphe, Saratoga, the English & Irish 1,000 & 2,000 Guineas.
In the UK, he ranks Goodwood as his top track and rates Cash Asmussen as his favourite jockey. Indeed one day, he would like to write a book entitled, "My top 10 jockeys worldwide" where amongst the stories include the time when he had to translate for Lester Piggott in a stewards' enquiry in Spain !

Perhaps Nick's greatest satisfaction has been as a mentor, advisor and friend for Spanish jockey, Oscar Urbina, since 1990...setting him up with Luca Cumani in the UK and watching him progress from there to win a Group 1 race.
The idea for the site came about when a Spanish owner asked me to get hold of 4 or 5 "big race" jockeys to choose from. Not having the contact details of the agents at hand, I had to ring round---the whole process taking about 3 hours.
"If I had had a centralised web site to refer to and show the owner the pictures, stats, biographies & contact details, he could have picked the jockey & contacted his agent within 5 minutes."
JockeysRoom is very popular with Jockeys, Agents & Trainers around the world asking to be on the site. One of the great attractions of JockeysRoom is that it allows jockeys and agents to promote themselves to a worldwide audience.
"It could generate a big race ride or contract anywhere in the world."
